Director General of West Bengal Police, Rajiv Kumar, asserted a strong stance against lawbreakers during his patrol in Sandeshkhali, stating, "Whoever has broken the law in Sandeshkhali will be arrested. Along with this, those who try to disturb the peace will also not be spared." Kumar, accompanied by top police officers, undertook a morning patrol in the area, emphasizing the police's commitment to addressing community concerns and resolving complaints.
Rajiv Kumar's proactive approach in Sandeshkhali involved a night stay in the construction department, followed by an early morning walk with police officials to Dhamakhali and further exploration of the region by boat. Expressing the police's readiness to address grievances, Kumar urged against vigilantism, stating, "If anyone has any problem, complaint, we police are present to solve it."
Responding to inquiries regarding specific individuals, Kumar affirmed, "Those who have allegations against them will be arrested. Those who break the law will be arrested at any cost." This declaration follows Kumar's prior meetings with senior police officials in Sandeshkhali, signaling a concerted effort to maintain law and order in the region.
